Upcountry Guinea Screening: People

As promised, here are some glimpses into the medical side of the screening trip.  The point of the trip was not just to see the beauty of this amazing country, but to help locate patients that might not have heard that we were in Conakry, or have had the means to get to our screening day in the capital on their own.

And there were plenty of patients found.  Those with maxillo-facial tumors, burns, orthopedic conditions, and neurofibromas.  Many of these precious faces were scheduled to come to the ship to have surgery.  Others were put on waitlists, some were referred to local hospitals such as the Hope Clinic in N'Zao, and yet others were unfortunately told we were unable to help.

As you can see, it does not take much searching to find those in need of help here.
